Sometimes animals do it in funny or odd positions, and sometimes in places that catch you off guard. They often make you laugh or smile because they’re just adorable when they really get into it--contorting, stretching, and sprawling their bodies about. What is it we’re referring to? Why, the way animals SLEEP, of course! (What did you think we were talking about?)
So THIS IS A CALL FOR CUTENESS! All species of the animal kingdom are allowed to participate. The only requirement is that your photo depict some sort of slumbrous or blissfully oblivious state. The beasts may be napping, in a deep repose, or merely dozing off with a somnolent expression in their eyes after attending to their daily routines.
Wherever you might find them, get them into the game and see how they fare against other shut-eye contenders from the same and other species. Be warned that the Sleeping Beasts community will flag and remove from the contest any sleep frauds. Tell your family and friends about your beast by linking to his or her profile from your favorite social networking, blog, and bookmarking sites (click here to view a sample profile).
